If you're looking for a super chill photographer who is still super fun and finds a way to make each session with you special, then look no further, Ariel is your girl. Each session I have done with Ariel was full of laughter, fun, and most importantly, beautiful pictures that I will cherish forever. She is able to capture life as it happens, rather than posing you to make it look that way, and still manages to capture the personality of each person. My favorite (and least favorite!) part is choosing pictures (because it is really hard to choose!) and not hating the way I look in all of them!

I recently did a shoot as a gift, and the album arrived on the day it was needed. Ariel went above and beyond to make sure I could present my gift on the intended day, and I can't thank her enough.

We went into the session with one very wound up 5 1/2 year old, and a very cranky 7 month old. On the rare occasions that he stopped yelling, Ariel managed to catch the smiles, a true miracle! My wife and I wanted a family photo, and we saw Ariel' s storefront near our house. I also went to school with her sister, so we decided to keep it super local and give her a shot.
She walked us through the entire process in a way that felt friendly and not pushy at all. She was also able to keep our kiddos occupado (which is a 5 star feat in and of itself!). We left her office feeling ecstatic and anticipating our photo shoot.
On our photo shoot day, Ariel was essentially just one of the family. She got our girls to listen and follow directions, and when they inevitably got distracted, she went with the flow and just let them be kids (while getting great shots of them, too).
The shots of my wife and me were unbelievable too. The ways Ariel got us to "pose" made us laugh and show genuine happiness and laughs. While the photos were great, most importantly we will remember those moments in between the shots forever due to how Ariel directed us to talk, act, and pose.
Once we had to choose the images we wanted, if it wasn't for Ariel, we'd still be there looking at all the images. Ariel guided us through the selection process right in our home. She helped us decide what images to choose, what sizes we wanted, where to put them in our house, even how to arrange them.
We can't say enough good things about Ariel, from her photography, to professionalism, to personality, but we can say we recommend her 100%!

Ariel is super sweet and makes you feel very comfortable during the shoot. We don't love taking pictures and we ended up with a bunch of really great ones! We needed her around Thanksgiving due to the fact that this is the only time of year our whole family is home and she was able to accommodate that request. We first had Ariel do our pregnancy photos when I was 34 weeks back in July, and those turned out amazing! It's hard to write an unbiased review of Ariel's work because I know her both as a friend and photographer! Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Ariel on a special project that was going to be a gift. I was nervous about how the pictures would come out and how I would look in them! Ariel has photographed our family twice now. She most recently photographed our son and she really is amazing. Her warm nature and fun loving personality really made our kids open up. You can tell she loves what she does and her photos are proof she's amazing at what she does! When we sat down with her to go over prints, she didn't push anything on us and really took the time to explain and show us what we are getting when we choose her over other photographers. My wife has know Ariel and her sister for a few years now and every time we see her, she asks about the kids and takes time to have meaningful conversations. My brother and I are not Ariel's typical clientele (children and engaged couples) but she agreed to help us surprise our mother with portraits of us for Christmas. We have not had our pictures taken professionally since we were in grade school and now as a 21 year old and a 19 year old, we wanted these pictures to be exceptional and that is exactly what we received from Ariel.

The portraits were absolutely stunning and she made the whole process fun and easy, especially for two people that don't exactly love to be in front of the camera. It is hard to not have a genuine smile when you're interacting with Ariel and she is amazing at capturing them in photos. During the whole session, Ariel swapped family stories with us and took the time to really understand us as siblings and individuals. After our session, the pictures were ready to view in the matter of a week and our print orders came in faster than I ever could have imagined. Our portraits were ready, as promised, to be given to our mom on Christmas morning where there were definitely a lot of happy tears shed.

I feel like I could write pages about how great our wedding experience with Ariel has been, but know I would still come up short. But I will try my best! I was a wedding planner for a few years, working with dozens of various photographers, so I had a pretty good idea of what I liked and didn't. Ariel was/ is the best, I do not hesitate to say it! From the moment we met with her, I felt confident we had made an easy decision. She has a distinct ability to really listen and understand your needs & wants, while balancing it with what is practical and how it could be applied. Prior to, she was always available to throw ideas around... definitely someone you can test with corky or untraditional shots with!

Onto the wedding day, I loved that she took direction, something that day of was too much a bear for me to even consider! She has a great sense of vision and is quick to navigate bad lighting, rowdy groomsmen and a timeframe much too small.

The best part was that throughout the process, you just feel comfortable! I am not one for the spotlight, so i was dreading much of it, but day of I felt completely just fine. What a relief!

After having my first photo shoot with Ariel, I can definitely say that I would recommend her to anyone looking to have photography done by an EXTREMELY talented professional. I did a trash the dress shoot with my horse, dogs and husband and I have to say it was such a blast!

Even though Ariel has not worked with horses in the past, she had a great handle on their movement and became very comfortable around my horse Stretch. From what I have seen so far I am extremely impressed and I cannot wait to see the rest of the photos. Ariel is very easy to work with, talk to and get comfortable around. Ariel did our family photos (family of 6) in May 2015, and she did a fantastic job. She managed to capture the “spirit” of our family-curious, silly, loving, active! We did a 7 am slot with her out doors and she captured it all—tree climbing, nature investigating, walks in the long grass, throwing rocks in the water, breastfeeding, baby wearing, the sweet real moments between parent and child and between siblings. When we were communicating before and after the shoot, she was prompt and clear, quick to give suggestions when asked and available by phone, email and text. The day of the shoot she arrived early and was there waiting when we pulled in. She worked to make the kids feel at ease. She had her work cut out for her tracking, corralling, and shooting beautiful moments with 4 kids under 10 and she made it look effortless with a smile on her face.

Another wonderful perk was she did just give me 15 minutes of her time and rush me out, something I have experienced before at other places. We had a little problem the day of our original photo shoot but she was so understanding and worked with me to reschedule. I recently scheduled a fall family photo shoot with Ariel. I really didn't know what I wanted - I just wanted to have beautiful pictures when we finished. If you're looking for a super chill photographer who is still super fun and finds a way to make each session with you special, then look no further, Ariel is your girl. Each session I have done with Ariel was full of laughter, fun, and most importantly, beautiful pictures that I will cherish forever. She is able to capture life as it happens, rather than posing you to make it look that way, and still manages to capture the personality of each person. My favorite (and least favorite!) part is choosing pictures (because it is really hard to choose!) and not hating the way I look in all of them!

We just did our engagement photo session with Ariel yesterday, and we can't say enough good things! First, getting ahold of her and scheduling the session was so easy because she was so flexible and responsive with her emails almost immediately! As a bride, that makes everything easier when you hear back that fast. She answered all our questions and came so prepared. I sent Ariel a bunch of photos I wanted to try and she made sure we did every single one. Personality wise, she is just so fun and easy to work with...we honestly had the best time laughing with her and just enjoying the shoot. It didn't feel forced or uncomfortable at all, it just felt like we were taking pictures with a friend. She has a real eye for what spots would look good, and is super helpful with her encouragement to just be natural. You can absolutely tell Ariel loves what she does. The family photo session with Ariel far exceeded my expectations! It was not a traditional photo session which I really enjoyed. We take our kids to Delaware Park to the baseball diamond and basketball courts all the time, so we spent the afternoon at the park with Ariel.
